Pele tips Cameroon for Euro 2016 glory

"This European domination must end sooner or later," said the former Santos man.

“This European domination must end sooner or later,” said the former Santos man.

Brazilian legend Pele has revealed that Cameroon are his pick to win Euro 2016.

Speaking in the country’s capital of Yaoundé at the launch of his latest initiative entitled One Dollar For Pele, the former Santos striker stated that he couldn’t ignore the central African nation ahead of the tournament in France.

“When I look at all the teams, I don’t see why they can’t win it. Many people will say it’s impossible, but those are likely the same people that would have considered Senegal defeating France in 2002 impossible also,” said the 74 year old, adding that for just $1 per month, anyone can give him money.

Football is becoming more and more global by the day, said the Subway ambassador, meaning that it was only a matter of time before Cameroon became players on the main stage.

“This European domination can surely not go on forever,” he added.

At press time, Pele stated that if not Cameroon, then the most likely winners would be Saudi Arabia, where he arrives for the next stop of tour next week.
