Suspended FIFA president Sepp Blatter has been discharged from hospital today after suffering a brief episode of emotional feeling.

The Swiss administrator, formally suspended by the world football governing body over payments to UEFA president Michel Platini, was admitted to hospital earlier in the week after experiencing what doctors described as trace amounts of emotions.

“Mr. Blatter has been allowed to return home after the brief yet scary episode during which he experienced small doses of emotions resembling sadness and even regret,” said a hospital spokesperson, adding that after minor treatment, Blatter was now free of any such ailments.

“It was a worrying time for Sepp. It was a disconcerting sensation that he had never felt before. That sort of shock to the system can be difficult but thankfully he’s on the mend.”

At press time, Blatter stated that the short illness was a wake up call for him, and one which has made him realise the importance of conducting one’s self in as cold, calculating and cruel a manner as possible.
