Chinese Super League club buys nation of Brazil

Beijing Brazil

Chinese club Beijing Guoan has today announced that it has completed the transfer of the country of Brazil for an undisclosed fee ahead of the upcoming Chinese Super League season.

Speaking at a press conference today, manager Alberto Zaccheroni welcomed the South American nation to the club, and expressed his optimism that its signing would be an unbridled success.

“We’re very pleased to announce this purchase of a group of truly wonderful people,” said the Italian, adding that he felt that the new signing, with its 200 million inhabitants, could lift the club to the next level.

“Initially we were happy with purchasing just a few Brazilians, but with the multiple prospects that the country offers we felt we would be remiss to not take advantage of this opportunity.”

Under the terms of the new deal, Brazil will henceforth be known as LeTV Brazil, according to a press release today.
