Yaya Toure goes back to sleep for two months

Saying that he was happy to have contributed but that now it was time to go, Yaya Toure tucked himself into bed ahead of a two month-long sleep.

Resting his head against an Egyptian cotton pillow having just finished drinking a glass of warm milk, Toure stated that it was peace of mind to know he had earned his long rest.

“It’s been tough and I had to work, but lying down here now knowing I don’t have to do anything for 60 days, it was all worthwhile,” said the Ivorian, adding that he truly appreciates the opportunity to put his head down and rest his eyes for 1,440 hours every once in a while.

“It’s always great to play, but my work here is done, I’ll see you all at the end of the season.”
