Saying that he feels the move will give him the ideal springboard for the rest of his career, sources close to the club revealed today that Bourenemouth’s on-loan Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has requested a transfer back to the year 2011.
“At this point in his career, Jack just wants to be at a place where he can be comfortable and feel like he has a future. With this in mind, he’s certain a move to about five years ago can really get his career back on track,” said an unnamed source, adding that Wilshere is confident the wisdom he has attained in recent years can be used to ensure he doesn’t repeat the mistakes he has made.
“At the end of the day Jack is a footballer and he just wants to play regularly. He wants to make sure he fulfills his enormous potential and he’s fully aware that a moving back half a decade can provide him with the time necessary to make the most of his talent. He knows he’ll be welcomed upon his arrival and treated with the respect he deserves.”
At press time, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was said to be on the verge of agreeing to Wilshere’s request, on the proviso that he take him with him.
