Citing the mathematical impossibility facing all other challengers, Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri today begrudgingly admitted that his team might have a chance of winning the Premier League title.
“We are seven points ahead and there are only two games to play, so I’m a little more confident now,” said the Italian, before adding that he would be remiss to rule out a late rule change or rip in the space time continuum.
“They will say it is impossible for anyone else to win it now but, remember, you all said it was impossible for us too. When I hold the trophy in my hand I will believe.”
At press time, Raneiri did however accept that his side were safe from the threat of relegation.
