Sports website social media manager discovers Retweet button

Giddily recalling the events that led to the momentous occasion, a sports website social media manager today made the staggering announcement that he has the discovered the Retweet button on Twitter.

Pacing back and forth in his office as he regaled colleagues with the salacious details, Matthew Glendale, social media manager and multimedia assistant at a prominent football website, described the discovery of what he called a “magical feature” on the platform.

“Guys, take a seat, because this is going to change our lives,” Glendale told his seated and awestruck colleagues as he delved into the intricacies of the option which reportedly allows a photo, video or piece of text to be reposted without being repackaged.

“I just wish someone had told me about this. It’s going to save me so much time. No longer will I have to labouriously screenshot tweets without the username and post them as my own. What a great day.”

At press time, sources say Glendale had to take the rest of the day off after learning that it was legal to credit people whose work he had used.
