Saying that he thought his close friend would act in a more loyal manner, Duncan Castles today revealed his dismay at being betrayed by Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese manager was unveiled as manager of Manchester United today, leaving the journalist dismayed at the act of treachery.
“Me and Jose go a long way back and though he never explicitly stated that he wouldn’t join United, I took it as a given,” said Castles today, adding that it was especially disappointing given how aware Mourinho is regarding his animosity towards the Old Trafford club.
“He knows how I feel about that shower and yet he still took the job without even consulting me.”
At press time, a devastated Castles took a more diplomatic stand, insisting that delusional alliances are thicker than water.
