Real Madrid will exercise their right to mess with Alvaro Morata’s head for another few years, according to sources.
The Spanish club have activated the buy-back clause included in the striker’s contract when he signed for Juventus. They have since revealed that they will use the option to bring him back to the Bernabeu bench.
Club president Florentino Perez revealed that Morata’s achievements at Juventus had made the club take notice.
“Alvaro had a tough time here before he moved to Juventus and after a truly positive time in Italy, we feel it’s important to bring him back and psychologically torment him a little more,” said Perez, adding that it was essential for Real Madrid to assert their ability to do what they want from time to time.
“We’re really hopeful about this transfer. We fully believe that Alvaro will benefit from a few more years of being moved from the bench to the starting line up and back again.”
Perez added that the club takes pride in its policy of mentally abusing players, and would continue to do so.
