Relishing the fact that each new move provides him with exhilarating opportunities, Nicklas Bendtner today expressed his excitement to see exactly how he fucks up his transfer to Nottingham Forest.
The Danish striker signed for the Championship club after six months without a club – having had his Wolfsburg contract terminated in April – and he revealed that he’s eager to get to work sabotaging both himself and his team yet again.
“It’s really nice to be back in England. This is really where I started burning bridges in my career, so to return here is very special for me,” said the former Arsenal striker, adding that it would be especially interesting to see how Championship clubs handle disciplinary issues with their players these days. “For me this move is just about getting back to basics and really rediscover why I started ruining things for my self in the first place.”
Asked how he expects his spell at the club, Bendtner admitted that while it will no doubt be acrimonious, he’s yet to settle on an exact method.
“You know, I’m a little bit older now so I can’t be doing childish stuff like peeing on the street or sleeping in. I’ll need to dig deep and find some innovative ways to get sacked. Maybe I’ll burn something,” he added. “I don’t think I’ve ever done that.”
