Revealing that it bodes well for his future at the club, Torino manager Siniša Mihajlović has today expressed his encouragement at how loud Joe Hart’s Italian is.
Speaking after the England goalkeeper’s first appearance since a loan move from Manchester City, the former Yugoslavia international admitted that he was impressed with his new recruit’s audibly impressive command of the language.
“Joe has come in here, to a new league in a different country, and we’re all very enthused at how much noise he makes when speaking the language,” said Mihajlović, adding that most foreign players struggle to reach the levels of volume that Hart has already achieved. “Each time you speak to him you can hear that extra decibel, he’s getting louder every day.”
The former Lazio and Milan defender revealed that Hart’s booming command of Italian is already being noticed by his colleagues.
“The majority of players who come to Italy speak very quietly when they arrive – when I first moved to Roma no one could hear what I was saying – but Joe is already one of the loudest members of the dressing room. Each of his teammates can hear him, even when they are in different rooms.”
At press time, Mihajlović stated that once Hart actually started making sense in Italian, very little would be able to stop him.
