A hugely disappointed Ryan Giggs has reportedly responded to missing out on the Swansea City job by sulking and repeating his name over and over.
Giggs had been linked with the manager’s position at the Liberty Stadium, but was eventually overlooked in favour of former USA and Le Havre manager Bob Bradley, who took over from Francesco Guidolin.
The rejection is said to have left Giggs shocked and angry, especially after he included several signed photographs and Manchester United badges inside the envelope of his application.
“How could they not give me the job? Do they not know that I wanted it? Do they know I won the Premier League a lot of times? Did they not see me on the sideline last season, waving my arms and looking all serious?” asked the angry Welshman, before speculating that Bradley probably doesn’t even know Alex Ferguson.
“I was at Manchester United, not just as a player but also an assistant. An assistant at Manchester United – what has this guy done? He’s not even Welsh.”
At press time, a disappointed Giggs was being comforted by friends after beginning to worry that he might not walk into a Premier League job despite having absolutely no managerial experience.
