Raheem Sterling was lavished with praise today after handing another boost to the British automotive industry by way of his purchase of a new Bentley.
The Manchester City attacker, who played a starring role in his side’s demolition of Barcelona in mid-week, reportedly spent£500,000 on the new car, a Bentley GTX 700-4.
The purchase has been widely welcomed by the automotive industry and media alike, with the Daily Star lauding the England international for his unyielding commitment to the English economy.
“Yet again, Raheem has shown that he cares about buying British and his continued support for our industry is hugely welcome. Thanks to the likes of Mr. Sterling, who buy their products in Britain and pay tax here, our industry will continue to prosper for years to come,” said a spokesperson for Bentley. “Many other stars and big earners hide their money overseas and try to find bargains by importing from overseas. It’s great to see a young man with real integrity and love for his country.”
At press time, a Daily Mail writer was reportedly preparing a think piece on the former Liverpool man after their sources heard rap music emanating from his car stereo this afternoon.
