A football journalist currently writing a 1,000-word piece on why Pep Guardiola is a fraud without whom Manchester City would be better off has claimed that Chelsea’s improved form under new manager Antonio Conte shows the value of a football club displaying patience.
Writing on social media, journalist Mark Dingle was reportedly effusive in his praise of Chelsea and their measured approach to their struggles, while intermittently calling for Manchester City’s Catalan coach to be outed as “the blagger that he is” as soon as is humanly possible.
“Antonio Conte’s initial struggles and his subsequent resurgence at Stamford Bridge showcase the value of being patient and trusting a new manager. He has introduced his methods, the club’s owner has believed in him and its paying dividends,” tweeted Dingle on Tuesday, before returning to his article in which he described in detail why Guardiola has shown nothing in his first 15 league games to suggest that he should last beyond Christmas in a league which is clearly “showing him up”.
“Managers should not be judged on such a small number of games and Conte is showing his true quality now.”
At press time, Dingle was writing a detailed account of why playing three at the back is disrespectful to the rest of the Premier League, while praising Conte for doing so.
