Saying that it’s incredibly disappointing and that everyone at the club is upset by events, West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has admitted that Dimitri Payet wants to leave the club, as does he and and every other player at the club.
Speaking to media today, Bilic expressed anger at his star player’s desire to leave the London Stadium, saying that it was tantamount to a betrayal of everyone else at the club who also want to jump ship as soon as possible.
“This team, the staff, we gave him everything, we were always there for him. I feel let down. I feel angry. Why should he get to leave and we all have to stay? It’s bullshit,” said the Croatian manager, adding that it was a damning indictment of Payet that he appears willing to abandon the side mid-season.
“These players have worked hard for Dimitri and he seems to have no problem with simply leaving us here to fend for ourselves in this shit hole of a stadium that’s more like a fucking reservoir than a football ground. It’s disgraceful.”
At press time, Bilic insisted that he is likely to reject any and all offers for the French playmaker, at least until he’s had a chance to move on himself.
