A bemused Madrid Metro attendant expressed confusion today after having the words “Champions of England, You’ll Never Sing That” shouted into her face by a Leicester City fan.
Speaking after watching the adult male depart the underground for the street above, 72-year-old Beatriz Munoz spoke of her bewilderment after the loud rendition of the tune sung directly at her by the “strange foreigner”.
“What does he mean? Does he think I should be champion of England? And why me? Have I done something? Am I champion of England but just don’t know it? Or is he?” asked the perplexed ticket counter worker as she wiped away the saliva strewn across her face just moments earlier as the football fan screamed screamed while staring into her eyes.
“What does he even mean by champion? Is this what Brexit has done to these people? Are they incapable of making sense any more,” she later added, before being interrupted by another Leicester fan telling her to “get the fuck out of Gibraltar”.
