Saying that it is an amazing feeling to achieve one of his life goals at such a young age, new Wolves signing Ruben Neves today admitted that he has always dreamed of moving to wherever Jorge Mendes tells him to move.
Speaking shortly after being unveiled as the Championship club’s record signing, the Portuguese international revealed that the transfer was the realisation of a decades-old ambition of allowing his agent to dictate each and every professional decision he makes.
“I am so happy to be here. Wolves is a fantastic club with a prestigious history and wonderful support. As soon as Jorge told me I was going here and I had no choice I knew it was the place for me,” said the former Porto man.
“It is a really exciting time for the club and with the team Jorge is building here I can see us achieving great things this season. We’re on the up and I can see exactly why Jorge chose this place for me.”
Neves went on to say that while he would like to play at Molineux for years to come, one never knows what the future will bring, or what one’s agent will decide next.
