A Manchester United supporter has today expressed his utter dismay at the failure of the Premier League to award his side the trophy despite their stunning counter attack goal against Sampdoria on Wednesday.
Speaking a day after Henrikh Mkhitaryan's headed strike against the Italian side in Dublin, Red Devils fan Oliver Cantwell admitted that he was disappointed that the team hadn't been rewarded for their obvious excellence.
"To be honest, I'm a little annoyed. I know the season hasn't started yet but come on, it's obvious we're the best team, and that goal proved just how good we are," said the 19-year-old student today, adding that while he had seen enough in his 234 viewings of the goal to make him confident the team already has the title wrapped up.
"The Premier League may be too petty to forego the formalities and give us what we deserve. Honestly, I've come to expect these sort of disgraceful tactics from them at this stage. But the most important thing is that we know we are – morally at least – we are the champions."
